Daniel and Alysia met in 2017 and had their first date at a quaint cocktail bar in Seattle.  From that first evening, both Daniel and Alysia had an immediate connection and exchanged stories of travel and adventures all night.  One unforgettable story from that night is when Daniel told Alysia that lobsters can scream.  Little did Daniel know, that Alysia's family was big into harvesting shellfish and she knew this wasn't true.  They both laughed it off and Daniel followed up after the first date that lobsters in fact DO NOT have vocal cords :P

Daniel and Alysia quickly found they both shared a deep passion for adventure.  From their first hike to Annette lake, to backpacking all over the Cascades and Olympics, to learning how to rock climb together, to traveling across the world, the adventures never stop! 

In the summer of 2022, a new adventure was about to begin.  Daniel decided to recreate the memories of their first three dates, setting the stage for a beautiful proposal.   The first date began with a touch of nostalgia as they went back to the spot of their first date, Canon.  The second date had to be slightly altered due to a trail closure, but they hiked to an alpine lake in the Cascades.  The third and final date was a visit to Gas Works Park, where they had once watched their first sunset together.  This was the date that changed it all, and Alysia said yes!

Daniel and Alysia are very excited for their wedding this September and looking forward this next adventure in life!
